Slim on Starch is a nutrition program created by me - Healthy Emmie, a Nutritionist and Weight Loss Specialist! You can learn more about the program by clicking here.
Slim on Starch is a whole food, plant-based protocol that allows for effortless weight loss. There is no calorie counting, portion control, over-exercising, or starving yourself. Instead, you follow your Slim on Starch Plate Builder, eat when you're hungry, stop when you've had enough, and your body will take care of the rest.
The initial Slim on Starch Program is 6 weeks. After completing the 6 weeks, you are eligible to continue working with us for a longer period of time to continue to work toward your health goals.

The Slim on Starch Program is a 6-week program, in which you work with me - Healthy Emmie - as well as a mindset coach and a nutrition coach, to help you reach your personal health goals.
Throughout the 6-week program, myself and my team will help guide you through weekly check ins and coaching calls as you navigate my 6-Step Slim on Starch process through weekly modules.
These 6 steps are taught to you through weekly course modules, which include lectures, PDF guides, and mindset exercises.
You will begin with your Slim on Starch Plate Builder + Recipes that allow you to create delicious, satisfying meals - which you will take photos of and log into my app - both for accountability and for personalized review from your coach.
Every week you will have coaching calls with me and other Slim on Starch clients, a personal check in from your nutrition coach, and a personal check in from your mindset coach.
This is just an overview - should we decide to move forward and book a call to get you started, I will distribute all the nuts + bolts to you! Click here to get started.
I am a Nutritionist, Weight Loss Specialist, and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. In my five years of running the Slim on Starch Program, I've personally worked with over 3,000 clients in a one-on-one setting. I am confident in my ability to help anyone who is ready to be helped.
I would love to! You can find results both on the following pages:
I wish I could answer the impossible question of exactly how much weight each client will lose, but I cannot. I would be lying if I told you exactly what number you were going to land at. What I CAN tell you is this... when Slim on Starch is followed to a T, and you have weight to lose, you will continue to lose weight until your body lands at its natural, healthy weight.
I find that sharing a range is more helpful. My clients lose anywhere from the last few pounds to over 100 pounds.
Absolutely. Mindset is my personal favorite part of the Slim on Starch Program. We dive into your relationship with food, your relationship with your body, behaviors around food, self-limiting beliefs, self-sabotage... and that's just the beginning!
You will have a mindset coach help us along this journey.
Instead of a pre-set meal plan, I distribute to you your Slim on Starch Plate Builder. Your Plate Builder is broken up into different sections and points to different food groups. You have autonomy with deciding which foods from each group you'd like to have. For example, one section of the plate will be vegetables - and you can choose whatever vegetables you most enjoy. I also have recipes, should you desire those too. I do not give you a pre-set meal plan where you have to eat foods that you don't like in amounts that don't feel good for you.
Absolutely.
I've helped over one thousand women successfully lose menopause weight gain in the Slim on Starch Program.
If you haven't already, click here to check out my Healthy Mummy Series, where I chronicle my mom's journey on my Slim on Starch Program to release menopause weight gain and lower her cholesterol.
Here are some other clients of mine who joined the program and successfully released their menopause weight gain:
Absolutely - but it must be Type 2 diabetes and not Type 1.
I have a video that actually explains how + why Slim on Starch is the gold standard diet for those who have Type 2 diabetes. Click here to watch it.
For maximum results on the Slim on Starch Program, it is highly recommended to refrain from animal products, such as meat, dairy, and eggs. That being said, I do grant clients the option to do an "ALL IN" or an "EASE IN" approach to the program. So I do have some clients that still eat some animal products as they make the transition to the Slim on Starch lifestyle. I don't like to use the word "vegan" because it doesn't accurately describe or depict what the Slim on Starch program is - which is a program built on an abundance of whole, natural, real plant foods.

Yes - Dr. McDougall is a friend and colleague. I have learned so much from him. I've interviewed him a couple of times on my YouTube channel. We agree on most and respectfully disagree on a couple of minor things.

Yes. Only if you have high blood pressure, struggle with binge eating, or hit a plateau do I recommend we evaluate if your salt intake needs to be adjusted.
Yes.
No.
My clients have lost anywhere from the last few pounds to over 100 pounds. I cannot guarantee any certain level of weight loss, but I can assure you that when you follow the Slim on Starch Program to a T, your body will release the weight that it does not need to hold onto for elite functioning.
I don't work with clients who want to gain weight. My clients are those that want to release weight and body fat.
Absolutely. Mindset is an enormous sector of the Slim on Starch Program. I have many clients that have successfully released the habit of binge eating and are completely binge-free for years now.
The Slim on Starch Program works when it is followed.
That I am 100% confident in. :)
What do I mean by "works?"
I mean that your body will end up at the weight that nature intended for you and your body to be when you follow the Slim on Starch Program.
What that weight ends up being is not a number that we can pick out of a hat. But it IS a healthy weight for YOU and YOUR body. It's not a weight that will lead you to be overweight or sick.
If a client is ready to be helped and follows my direction, the client will be successful.
Carbs do not make us fat. Upon consumption, the body prefers to BURN carbs, NOT to store them as fat. :) The process of turning carbs into fat is known as de novo lipogenesis and it's extremely inefficient in humans. The reason why people think that carbs make us fat is because they will go on a low-carb diet and lose water weight. This is because when we eat carbohydrates, our glycogen stores increase, and when glycogen stores increase, our water weight increases as well... We are naturally improperly hydrated when we are eating the carbohydrates that our body requires to function properly. So when carbs are cut - water weight and glycogen stores deplete and the number on the scale reflects a dehydrated, sick body. Then when carbs are consumed again, the body becomes hydrated again, but the dieter misreads it as "fat gain."
You can pay via credit card, debit card, HSA card, or FSA card. Venmo is accepted for one-time payments.
